1. Edit the 'Not Logged In/Unregistered' usergroup via AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager and set 'Forum Viewing Permissions' to 'No'
2. AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Thread Display Options (showthread)👍 1Comment

Thanks a lot issue no 1 is fixed
how ever second does not seem to be pulling any list of similar threads
note the changes i made 1. Show Similar Threads? YES (thread display options)
2. Search Engine Enabled? YES ( message searching options)
3. Automatic Similar Thread Search ? YES ( message searching options)
Did i miss anything ?Comment

You need to rebuild the counters for similar threads if you just turned it on.

Update Counters > Rebuild Similar Threads was it. You need to do that after you turned on similar threads.

ok cool now its working but have another issue its displaying completely at the bottom of the page how do i make it display the way it displays in vb.org i man just below the first post where are the settings for that ?Comment

You'll need to edit the template and move it to where you want.
To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.
