Vbulletin wont see database correctly. (apparently)

Im not entirely sure what the problem is, and I am new to using Vbulletin and to hosting in general. So I apologize if this seems kind of dumb, and Ill try to outline my problem as best as possible.

We currently used Vbulletin on a different hosting server, and had a falling out with that personal essientially (he was allowing us to host on his server).

So I had recently acquired a server with Godaddy, and was going to host it there. The owner of the server allowed me to access the mysql, and download the database. So I have the database with all the posts, and threads, and everything else.

That was all he let me get, no FTP dumping of it, or whatever the simple instructions in the manual said to do.

So on my new server with Godaddy, I uploaded the database, uploaded Vbulletin, and ran the install.php file. During installation i chose not to delete the database, so that should not have been a problem. I checked the database later and still saw the posts in it when I queried so that is fine too.

I have the config.php redirected to the right database, but when I access the site, its just showing a fresh/brand new Vbulletin forum, and not the old one.

Is there anything I can do, or am I essientially screwed? (I get the feeling i really needed FTP access.

    Thanks in advance
