Default thread view option

I tried looking for this without results...

So this is my problem: for some weird reason the default way threads are displayed is by alphabetical order. I want them to be displayed by latest post... Basically how it SHOULD appear... like every other forum does.

is there a way to set that globally?

You set this for each forum here:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Edit Forum -> Default Sort Field and Default Sort Order

Yeah i figured that out but is there a way to do it globally? Like running a SQL query?
