The security issue posted here has patches for 3.8.1 - 3.8.3 and 3.8.4, though nothing for 3.8.2, is 3.8.2 immune to this issue or was this an oversight.

3.8.2 would have the same issue. You need to upgrade or apply the 3.8.4 PL1 patch.Comment

I applied the 3.8.4 PL1 patch for 3.8.2 version but now the admin CP says >> (vBulletin 3.8.4 Patch Level 1) <<
Is it OK to leave it that way? I coulnd upgrade to the latest version so I just applied the latest security patch.www.legaljunkies.comComment

I wouldn't recommend it however I don't think it will do any harm looking at the files updated although can't be 100% certain.
Is the reason you can't upgrade a license issue or for some technical reason?Comment

Thanks Trevster for the reply -- I will keep the patch installed unless someone else would strongly not recommended.
The reason why I can't upgrade to the latest version now is related to technical issues. I will upgrade to the latest 3.8.x soon...www.legaljunkies.comComment
