I need urgent help, a disgruntled admin has staged a coup

She has changed the main adminstration account's password and protected it so that if we try to change it it comes up with,
Sorry, this user is protected from being altered in the template settings by the $protection['ProtUser'] variable.
She did this for her own login and several others in this coup. The actual owner of the site has been locked out. Can anyone help us bypass this? I have just regained access to our server which she locked us out of (I received help from the main host she resells through (yes, she was also our webhost)), is this something I can alter in the files on the server or is it done in vBull Admin Panel?

    TIA!

Go to forum/includes/config.php. Open file and scroll down to where the heading reads UNDELETABLE / UNALTERABLE USERS. Have the last line like this -
    $config['SpecialUsers']['undeletableusers'] = '1'

    where 1 = user ID #1

You most likely will have several numbers on this line. Delete them and add yours.

I would make a back up of the site & database. If she is the hosting provider she could easily do it again. And of course start shopping for a different hosting provider.

Yeah we're investigating a new host asap. I'll get onto that backup, thanks for the tip.

She's also somehow nixed some of our admin abilities like editing member's posts, deleting our own posts and threads, etc. The Admin usergroup says we can do it but we can't. Where else could she have fiddled with the settings?
