  • Hiding a Forum from Search Engines?

I've set the permissions on the "Removed Posts / Spam" forum on my VB board (3.8.4), so that unregistered visitors & members cannot view it. Does this automatically block search engine spiders from crawling the posts in that Spam Forum?

If not, what's the easiest way to stop search engines from crawling a particular forum?

    Thanks!

Yes. Search engine spieders see the forum as guests do.

You can also comment out a category with a robots.txt file and the search engines won't index it
