  • Database error after relocating mysql.

I'm attempting to relocate my MySQL data directory to another drive. After doing so, I can successfully access my other applications that utilize MySQL, however I receive a database error on Vbulletin.

I've verified permissions, changed the my.ini to point to the new database directory.

Not sure where do go next.

Can you verify that you can see the database from the MySQL Admin tool (windows) or mysqladmin (*nix). After changing the my.ini, did you restart the mysql instance? These may seem obvious, but can get lost when Bad Things are happening.

Yep, restarted SQL, and verified that I can see the database (although I used PHPMyAdmin instead).
