    Restoring a backup

    hello all,

i wanted to restore a backup i made to a fresh installation of vbulletin. i've never done this before and i wanted to know how the board would turn out. would everything like people's usernames/passwords, board styles, etc, be restored how it was before i took the board down? if not, what would i need to replace on my own?

also, my backup is about 56.4MB and my board had just a little over 500,000 posts (i did not allow people to attach images). does this sound about right for the size of the file or do you think i'll be missing posts?

i would appreciate any information. thanks.

It doesn't sound like your backup includes the entire database as 56 mb sounds too small for half a million posts. Are you just restoring the files or do you have a backup of the database?
