Cannot change style

I have changed the defult style to another and was quite happy with that but wanted to give members more choice.
I have installed a few styles and although they show as available to the users when cosen as thier style nothing at all changes in FF in IE they have a blank screen.
Now I have installed a few styles so far and pretty sure that I have followed the instructions.
I am running VBAdvanced and made sure a copy of the images was available to the image directory.
I also checked out the xml of the style to make sure that the directories were right and so on.
Any ideas please?

Oh yes... I also tried changing the default style in VB options but still stuck with the style I have.

I can't give you an answer, but I can give you questions...sorry.

Were these styles for the vb version you currently have? Another words, if you have 3.8 is the style for 3.8 or 3.7, etc. They should match.

Did you contact the person who created the styles for help?

Maybe delete the styles and add them again...not sure of a solution, sorry.

I've had a closer look into this and can say that it has something to do with permissions.
If I go to admin CP and set the default style in "Style and Language settings" there to whatever... say theme1, then all users see theme1.


In user setting if I set up use forum defaul or default settings or any other for that matter still theme1 shows up.
If the users choose a new theme from the style selector at the bottom of the forum.... the selections of styles show in the drop down but it matters not what you choose because still theme 1 shows.

Now if I go back into admin cp and change the default theme to theme2... then I have the same problem as above but now only theme 2 shows up.

the styles used aare all compatible and yes I have deleted them and tried to install others in case the themes were corrupt.

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes I did choose to allow members to choose a style.
That seems to be part of the problem.... members can choose a different style from the "quick style" menu but the designated default style will not change.
