As Zachery mention; the config.php only contains the $database username and $database password and nothing else.
As for your log-in to your actual forum. I suggest you use a combination of alphanumeric and some symbols. Instead of making a simple password. It's your responsibility to ensure that you have a strong password.

The adminstrators username and password can be changed in the software. the config.php username and password is only for the database.

I think in the config.php is the only way you can change the admin name and password, I would think this would need to be changed from time to time for safety. Can someone point me in the direction to where it is in the manual so I can ready about how to do this change and also what directory the file is in. I think this is like when the software was first set up this info can only be changed in the config.php if I remember reading correctly. Thanks for any suggestion and information,
