New User Notices

Hi there,

I have had 2 new users sign up since yesterday and confirmed their email activation, and I never received an email notifying me there is a new user.
Both were already in the moderation> moderate users, and I did not receive a notice of a new user.

Why did I not receive an email of these 2 new users?

Also another thing I don't understand is, when some new users activate their account with the email they have recieved...why do some end up in the (COPPA) users awaiting moderation and some do not.

What is the difference between "(COPPA) users awaiting moderation" and the new user showing up in the moderation> moderate users?

I'm having exactly the same problem, except the coppa issue.

I've given up, couldn't work out the issue. I've done the test in the admincp and the email comes through, yet emails for new members won't come through even though it's coming from the same address.

Do the email test and click "send"

People who are in the COPPA usergroup probably stated that they are under 13, which is the minimum legal age you have to be to sign up on forums. Therefore, a parent/guardian sent information or agreed to that user signing up.

I found the problem as to why I was not receiving notices for - new user registrants.

There was no problem! They were going to my spam folder. So...any one reading this with the same problem - please check your spam folder to see if your new member notices are going there.
