  • moved servers now can't read posts

Moved to a new server following the vb manual. All went smooth.
Site shows up just fine but I can't read posts, all I get is a blank page.
The url w/ thread.php?t=969... shows up in the tab, but nothing on the page.

I can attempt to add a new thread, the edit window comes up but when I post it again all I see is a blank page with the url info similar to above.

I've optimised tables and comparied the size of my sqldb backup on the old server and the new and they are exactly the same.
When I restored the latest copy of db I did restore over top of an older copy of the db. Could that have caused me these issues?
vbseo was also recently added to the forum. I did not add it and was unaware of it until after the move. Don't know if any special steps would have been needed because of vbseo.

After typing this I guessed the 1st suggestion would be to do a fresh restore. Seemed reasonable to me, so I did just that.
I dropped the current DB. Recreated it, and then restored it from the final bkup from the old server.
Still getting the same blank page when trying to view a post.

Thanks for taking a shot at it Derfy. But that was not it.
I did find others talking of blank pages and that took me here: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/blank_pages

Yep, it appears the old ascii bug got me. I scp'd the files in text and images in binary but that didn't work the 1st time when I had an inbetween windows machine I scp down to and then scp'd up to the new server.
Today I scp'd direct from one server to the other via command line and now the forums are working. No more blank pages.
This server does not have FTP access so I had to use SCP and it worked fine.
