  • Move attachments to file system

Hi I just noticed "Move attachments to file system" will doing this affect any current attachments? And will it save them to a default location or can i specify a folder, if so does it have to be in the forum folder ie

    public_html/forums/attachments

or can I have it, say...

    public_html/attachments

Thanks in advance for your help
    Kind regards

It will move all your current attachments to the file system and then save any new attachments in the file system. And you need to specify a folder; it should NOT be put into the public_html folder, but rather at the same level as that folder.. ie /home/yoursitename/attachments

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

You path to your attachments should start from the very 'top'. Usually, on a linux server, that is /home as I specified above.

I just dropped an email to my host, see what they say.

You did read my comments about how you should NOT have your attachments inside the public_html folder right? You forums folder is in the public_html, so putting the attachments folder in there is still inside the public_html folder.
