There is no option or setting in vB to do this.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)
Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

On this very site (can't do a screenshot, am on a laptop):
vBulletin Announcements (58 Viewing)
To the original poster, it hasn't disappeared on this site, so I wonder if you need to revert the forumhome_forumbit templates.

My apologies, again I misunderstood the question. That uses this setting:
Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Forums Home Page Options -> Display Logged in Users?Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

This setting controls both the Currently Active Users list as well as the X viewing text next to forum names on the index page.
That's on OLD POST from Jake Bunce.
If that's enabled, then it should work in a default style.
If not, next step is to try turning off all plugins.

Again this does work with the default vB code and no add-ons. What's the URL to your forums?Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

Just an obvious point, but do you actually have anyone viewing any of the forums?
It only shows if there is someone viewing. If nobody is viewing it will not say "0 viewing", it just doesn't show at all.

by BenjMacI have 5.0.5. I've noted in past versions that the "Most users ever online" is always jumping around not consistent about showing numbers. Mine does the same which is not much of a concern....
