    If you are getting the same error (including version number) then this means you did not upgrade properly. First reupload all the 3.8.4 non-image files. Make sure you upload these in ASCII format, overwrite the ones on the server, and that version 3.8.4 shows in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Then run 'upgrade.php' again.

    The upgrade to 3.8.4 but ended up getting the same error as before and that was with deleting the add-ons i put in since the last upgrade to 3.6.8 which at the time was so easy to do.

    I have notice that in the config php you have this now:
    // $config['Datastore']['prefix'] = '';
    and i am running 2 forums on the same sever, will this have anythink to do with it ?

    ok i ran it again and still got same error....so iam now running 3.6.8 again i have only added 2 add-ons since running 3.6.8, if i was to delete these from the plugins will this get rid of the errors when i upgrade again to 3.8.4 ?

    There is no 'permissions2' field in the default vB moderator table. That is from an add-on you installed.

    Also that error indicates you did not upgrade successfully.

    getting Database error

    Trying to upgrade my board again tonight from 3.6.8 to 3.8.4 and now i get this error, any help would be great thanks...have uploaded all the 3.8.4 files but still get 3.6.8 error ?
