  • Turn off forum via phpMyAdmin?

    My forums just crashed, and I can't get into the admin panel to disable it. 500 error every time. How can I turn off the forum via phpMyAdmin?

    Currently leaving it open is just filling my server box up with core.xxxxx files.

    I don't think turning it off would make a difference. And I also would assume that the e-mails you are receiving are generated by your server and not vBulletin itself.

    The only solution I can think of (and it will only work if vBulletin is generating those e-mails) is to add this line to your config.php file:
    Code:
    define('DISABLE_MAIL', 1);
    Regards,
    Nick

      Code:
      UPDATE datastore SET data=REPLACE(data,'s:8:"bbactive";i:1;','s:8:"bbactive";i:0;') WHERE title='options';
      UPDATE setting SET value=0 WHERE varname='bbactive';
