How to place ads on the forum?

Someone surely has asked this before but nothing was turning up in my search here.

I want to place a vertical column of ads on the left side of my forum page. Can someone direct me on how to do this?

I edited the code for the ads and (kind of) works. I have the space there for the ads but now where do I place the ad pictures? The little pictures for the ads don't show up!

I had no problem adding a left column to my site but what I'd really like to do is have the column underneath my site navigation box. (I removed the column because I felt it made everything look too congested.) How can I get my column under the site navigation box? Tks, Ann Marie www.nutleymoms.com

I edited the code and it worked perfectly, but how would I modify the code so the right column starts under Navbar and vBmenu ?
