Scheduled Task?

Okay, i'm using a donation mod where upon someone donating money they are automatically promoted to a new usergroup that provides special features etc.

Now, this new usergroup has a special user title and rank image.

After the donation, the account is promoted successfully to the new usergroup except one issue remains.

The user title and rank image doesn't show unless I manually click "Update User Titles and Ranks" in the Maintenance menu within the acp.

How can I solve this issue? Does anyone have any reccomendations? It would be a tiresome task to do this for each and every donator.

I was thinking maybe a scheduled task but i'm not sure.

vBulletin's paid subscription system can already do that. You shouldn't have to use a mod for it.

The user title and rank come from the user's display group. The default display group is the user's primary group. If your paid subscription changes the user's primary group then the new user title and rank should be automatically applied. Otherwise you may have to run that counter. Of course I can't vouch for the mod that you are using.

It's not a subscription system I need though, it's a donation system. Users can donate however much they please and they will be "promoted" to a higher usergroup that contains more features.

Is there a scheduled task, that I can add that will update the user titles and ranks for this specific usergroup every 30 minutes or so?

Is the new usergroup they are being promoted into a secondary or primary usergroup?

It's not a subscription system I need though, it's a donation system. Users can donate however much they please and they will be "promoted" to a higher usergroup that contains more features.

The paid subscription system does exactly that. I use it for donations on my site.
