  • Moving attachments to db

    Hey guys/gals,

I've been trying to move my forum attachments to db, but after processing about 20 files the process stops. I thought the last attachment that was being processed was the culprit - went ahead and deleted the thread, but it broke at the previous attachment. Something tells me the next attachment that I can't see is causing the issue. How can I find out what exactly the problem is? This is not version related... tried doing the same thing with the earlier versions to no avail.

    Thanks,

You could check the servers' error_log file

    tail -F /var/logs/httpd/error_log

while it is running, to see where it breaks. Perhaps it discloses the attachment id.

I'm hosting the db myself, but unfortunately don't have permission to view the logs as the http server is hosted.

Then you will need to ask your host to investigate this.

Thanks for the tip. I moved the forum directory to a temp server and was able to move all attachments to database successfully.
