  • Deleting a forum

    I have a rss feed that has over 9,000 pages (200,000 threads) and am trying to prune it but it keeps timing out. I have tried only pruning less than 1000 threads at a time but still very slow.

    Can I just delete the forum and add a fresh one? Or is this not recommended?

    Or is there a query I can or should run?

    Another reason for an auto-prune feature.

    Yes, if you delete the forum it will delete those posts as well. You may still have timing out issues because the database will still need to be updated.

    This may be a server time and/or memory limit. To increase your limits edit your includes/config.php file and add these lines right under the <?php line:

    ini_set('memory_limit', -1);
    ini_set("max_execution_time", "2880");
