  • Can't open template to edit

I've been removing unused non-vBulletin files on two of my forums.
Actually I've been adding a '~' to the beginning of my unused files until I am double sure I no longer have plugins/mods/hacks that require them.

Now when I go to open a template via Styles, nothing happens on one site.
I click on the template name and nothing.

Any clue? My xml files are all intact.

Run a file check to look for missing or modified files:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

Upload the original files if any problems are reported.

      Did all that.
Only files missing were the upgrade files.
Upload all new files except for the install.php.
      I'll try other browsers next.

      Thanks.

EDIT: I tried different browsers and find that there is no style applied to my admin section.
There is just a white background.

And a member just noticed that quicklinks weren't working.
Off to do some searching since I've seen that problem mentioned before.

        Resolved

I added a few non-vB files back to my /forum directory.
I probably removed one that a mod needed, although disabling plugins didn't help.

        Time for a beer.

Run this and report back the results:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Problematic Webserver Modules

I ran that before posting. Didn't turn up anything.

The problem was a non-vB file I removed.
After I restored several non-vB files the problems was resolved.
I'm trying to do house cleaning before vB4.

            Thanks.
