Putting custom links in the bottom my header!

Hello,

I would like to be able to add my own links to my header (right under the logo) so that they show up on every page! How can I do this?

I'm assuming I will need to edit the header template and just add them somewhere in there... I'm just not sure of the code to get them to show up all in a straight line.

Can someone help?

Yep, just edit the header template.

If you have any HTML editor on your machine, try creating it there in WYSIWYG format then copy the code for that straight into the template. Might be worth creating a new style and make the changes there first so you can check that it looks OK before you do it on the 'live' style.

Thanks! It's working and so far this is what I got:

Now I just need to add URL's which I can figure out, but here's the thing... They are just normal looking text links! How can I add style to them?

I want it to look more like a navigation bar!

You can add a class to the text or create a new navbar in the same style as the one already in use. Have a look at the following thread and then play around with it (post 3):

And do you know how I can make it look like the Navbar at the top of IGN.com? (The one that has some drop downs if you hover over some of the text links)

Yes, but that is to add it to the Navbar. I was it in my header above the logo... Like how IGN.com has it, but only on top.

Add it to the new 'navbar' you're placing in the header template as opposed to the navbar template!

Not sure I understand what you mean by that.

Also, how do I add a background image?
