  • Attachment Uploading Issue

I was having trouble uploading attachments and you guys mentioned it was on the servers end.
My server admin told me not to store attachments in a seperate file folder instead of in the Database since it was maxing out.

I set the storage path to Attachments (forum/Attachments) and transfered the files however I still cannot upload Attachments.
Is there a template to edit or a file such as config.php that I need to edit?

It should be working assuming the path you specified is correct and the directory is fully writable (chmod 777).

    Try a test upload:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Upload

What are the results of the test?

If you continue to have problems then we can take a look if you submit a ticket with your forum and server info:

The test is fine and the file has been chmod to 777 but I still am having an upload error.

I was able to upload a file into my photo album but after I did that my database crashed I think... I am getting a database error message page now, you cannot view the forum (database error page) only when you are logged in as a user.
You can see everything when your a guest though.

I just upgraded to 3.8.2 tonight from 3.8.1

      p.s.
My server admin will not allow server access by anyone else.

Error code 28: No space left on device

The partition containing the '/tmp' directory does not have enough space avaiable. You'll need to free up some space or contact your host.

Once the space problem is fixed then you need to run a repair:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Repair / Optimize Tables

Run it twice to make sure everything comes back clean the second time.
