  • (FIXED) RSS Feeds/Errors

    I had RSS feeds set up and running fine on my forum on vBulletin 3.7. I just upgraded to 3.8.2 last night and now all my RSS feeds won't run.

    They all report:
    RSS Poster Robot
    San Antonio Express News MBA XML Error: Mismatched tag at line 6
    Dallas Morning News MBA XML Error: Mismatched tag at line 6
    AggieAthletics.com MBB XML Error: Mismatched tag at line 6

    An example of one feed is here:
    http://feed43.com/7525466651515380.xml

    The feed looks fine to me and it all worked prior to the upgrade. Anything you can suggest to troubleshoot?

    For the title I have: {feed:title}
    And body template: {feed:link}

    ***RESOLVED*** The feed source FEED43 banned the IP because it was pulling too often. Only evident when you hit the link from the server, otherwise it appeared to work fine. I've emailed them and slowed down the RSS reads -- putting this here in case somebody else runs into something else like this.

    Done

    Example of feeds that don't work:
    http://www.entertainmentwise.com/rss/celebrity.rss

    and got few others is funny coz somtimes when i hit run they work..
    but wasn't the point of the RSS Poster Robot to not have to go click Run everytime you want the feeds ?

    i would appreaciate some help.

      That feed does not appear to be compatible with vB.

          The first one is not a valid feed.

          The second one works fine on my unmodified 3.8.2 test forum.

          The third one does not appear to be compatible with vB.

          And I cannot even connect to the fourth one. It times out.

                  If they work on your vB forum then what's the problem?

                    The problem is that they only work manualy ..

                    thats all about..

                    each and everyone works manually but they dont "auto work" at all.. never did never will..

                    if u want.. to test smtg else, please provide me any and i do mean any feed that u tested and works and u'll see that it wont work..
