  • echo first 25 words of 1st post

Myself and a couple of other coders are working on a block of code, to appear above the post of a new thread.

I would like to echo the first 20-25 words of the first post of this thread, into the block.

Could someone please explain if this is dooable.

Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

        Ok thanks Steve.

However, thats fine. But could you point me to what displays the text on a first post .

eg. is it something like $thread[description]
