  • Random post from registered users need moderation

I have this problem and it is starting to get annoying.

I have checked the forum permissions and all seem to be ok. Some users are posting in a some forums and their posts go into a moderation queue, while others users posts do not.

Also, some posts get marked with a spam icon also, but they are not spam.

    What is causing this?

    Edit:
Allow Users to have Member Groups is set to 'yes' also

Most likely they are being flagged by Akismet or Typepad Anti-spam if you have Spam Management set up. Could be based on IP address, email address or content. The exact algorithms that trigger the spam are known only to Akismet and Typepad.

If you have this set up, then it will scan the first ten posts of new users automatically. After they have ten posts they shouldn't be moderated anymore.

      hmmm,

the effected members have over 500 posts each. I will look into that akismet thing though.

      Thanks

Then it must be some sort of addon that is doing this. Aside from the Anti-spam tool, there is nothing to moderate posts based on content which would be the requirement for the seemingly randomness of it..
