I have my adsense set as follows:

I use a third party modification to post the code after the first post of each thread in my forum, and I manually entered the code in the vbulletin header. This way I show the large banner at the top always, and two ads under a post - so that at most, three show up.

    Works. Getting paid. No problems.

    Google Updated Terms and Conditions

JPetrillo may have the reason some sites are being banned. Maybe after updating your sites with with the vbulletin integration, google is then inclined to check your site for compliance with the new TOS

    From Google Adsense

We've also added some specific requirements that make it necessary for publishers to post and abide by a transparent privacy policy that users see. According to this policy, publishers must notify their users of the use of cookies and/or web beacons to collect data in the ad serving process. This change relates to advertisers' use of innovative products and features like Gadget Ads and other offerings in the future.

Revisiting an old thread. I too have fallen victim to this. I have removed the mod as well as blocked all Google access to our site. Not all that important to me as it was a test but I can assure you that any involvement with our community with Google has been killed and we will use nothing related to them in the future.

As far as I know, it doesn't matter how many ad codes you have on one page, it will only display a maximum of three pages?

I'm alittle worried now after hearing what other members have posted. I've joined with Adsense for almost 4 years now and haven't had any problems. I've only recently moved to VB (from phpBB) and started putting in Adsense codes but not using VB's Adsense integration though so fingers cross I don't run into any problems. Adsense is about 90% of my forum's income which pays for three dedicated servers. If I lose this, I won't be able to pay for the servers.

Anyhow, abit to soone to speak but will certainly let you all know if anything happens that's for sure.

Looking forward to a great future with VB

I thought the max was three ads per page?

It may have something to do with the amount of individual instances of the ADSENSE code within each page. Did you guys have all the possible adsense displays on?

Google does not like this and strictly states ONCE per page.

maybe the vB coders can program in the next release a 'radio' button selection, which would prevent people from selecting more than 1 instance of the ads displaying...

I had been running adsense for about two years on my site (vB). I went through a recent redesign (upgrading to 3.8.2). I used to have a single adsense banner ad for unregistered/guests. The new design has one banner ad in the header and one in the footer.

After a week, I've been banned by adsense.

I have no idea how this could be related to vB. All I know is that I am NOT HAPPY.

Maybe it just has to do with this:
This is a discussion forum powered by vBulletin. To find out about vBulletin, go to http://www.vbulletin.com/ .

using the integration to run Adsense too many times at once.

SDonkey and Davros - do you have a privacy policy? You dont share your website URL on your profile so I couldnt check. That could be the issue if you do not have one.

Digicom - I dont see a privacy policy on your site, underground-modems.com

It's a Google AdSense requirement. Check mine.

Maybe it's not due to VBulletin but I find it very coincidental and to hear another user who has intergrated Adsense has had almost the exact same problem as me makes me very dubious about the whole situation.

I had no idea the Adsense intergration was a new feature to VBull I just saw the option when I signed up and thought it would be a time saver.
I got banned from adsense after installed vb's adsense. I been using adsense amost one year.

    Not good.

I have no doubt that what happened to you is factual. However I am quite certain that vB is not to blame for this. Nonetheless you are free to post this in the Bug Tracker is you feel you have some evidence that vB is at fault.

Note: It would be incredibly stupid of us to do this purposely, don't you think? If you really believe we are causing this, than how are we doing it and to what purpose exactly? What do we gain from doing something like this?

But that is not what I asked:

Were either of you using Adsense on your forums before this?
Since you were not running this on your vB forums prior to this then there is no apples-to-apples comparison. The most likely cause of this problem is that one or more of your forum visitors started clicking on the Adsense links that were not there before.
