  • vBulletin Admin Access

    I bought a vBulletin license for my nephew to set up a private forum for our extended family.

    www.evergreenlodge.org

    I set his login as the admin, but although I also set my own user as admin, I only see a very small menu in the admin section... I played with it and can't seem to get my group membership or whatever to have the admin access.

    I have lots of experience with 3.7.x... but I'm but I'm not understanding this.. did something change?

    For instance, do I now need to do something such as in the config file to see the full admin menu?

    Thanks!
    Eric

    You need to set the appropriate permissions:

    Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Administrator Permissions

    You may need to make yourself a Super Admin in order to do this. Edit this section of config.php:

    // ****** SUPER ADMINISTRATORS ******
    // The users specified below will have permission to access the administrator permissions
    // page, which controls the permissions of other administrators
    $config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] = 'x';

    ...and replace x with your userid (not user name.)
