The counter must be wrong. There is no option to rebuild that counter, but you can run this query to reset it:

UPDATE user
SET pmunread = 0
WHERE userid = X

Where X is the userid of the user.

A member on my forum is saying that he has a notification of 4 Unread Messages, however, when he looks in his inbox, there are none that are unread. Is there any way to correct this? Maybe a PM recount?

P.S. I have seen this problem on another vBulletin forum before so am guessing it is nothing new.
