  • cannot update usergroups - database error

am setting up a new board before i port my old one across and delete it

came to it this morning and wanted to change a couple of things in the usergroups

go to usergroup manager and first odd thing is area after first set of permissions - password expiry - password history - is blank - no title - no wording - 2 on/off buttons and an input box - nothing to indicate what its for

nect block is 'forum viewing permissions'

anyway skipping that - went to alter @User title' - did that and saved and got a database error

    same with any usergroup

no idea whats relavent so will post it all

it shows the new usertitle - but i guess it has not saved

The field causing the issue 'ms_force_style_permissions' is not a default vBulletin field. This is caused by a modification that is either improperly installed or hasn't been completely uninstalled yet. Most likely there is a bitfield_XXXX.xml file left over from removing a modification in the includes/xml directory. You would need to delete this file and try editing the usergroups again.

and thanks again - all sorted - was a style mod that seemed not to have installed correctly - all simple when you know how

had visions of having to start again
