  • Variable for bantime?

    Hello,

    I'm looking for name of the variable, that contains BANtime and BANreason.

    I have two "BAN" Usergroups:
    First is standart "Banned Users" and they can do nothing.
    Second is new "Muted Users" and they have read-only access to all sections.

    I want to create new notificaton for "Muted Users" with some informations about "mute". Something like a "You are muted for XXXX" where "XXXX" is the number of days what the moderator set.

    So for example:
    - Moderator set BAN for user "John", select "Muted user" bangroup and set bantime to 7 days.
    - User John come online and he sees notify "You are muted for 7days"

    I only found a whole phrase "nopermission_banned" (actually i didn't find it in any templates), but that contains "You have been banned for the following reason:". I can't use this phrase, because the didnt get banned, only muted .

    So, one way is found the variable for the time, or second is create a new phrase, but i have no idea how to combine it with bangroup.

    Thanks for reply and sorry for my english

    You can use notices to display messages for specific groups:

    Admin CP -> Notices

    But custom code is required to build those variables for use in the notices. If you have some coding ability then you can post on www.vbulletin.org for help with this.

        Can you not add a new phrase yourself?
