AdminCP Timeout

Greetings,

I'm having a weird problem with my forums. Let me preface:

I've set the cookie time out to 3600 from 1800.

Cookie Domain stuff set to "/" and ".xxxxx.com"

In the AdminCP options, I've turned off the timeout.

In the Plugin menu, I've turned that off so its running without any mods.

I'm using the Master Default Template.

In my brower, I've set all security, cookie, content, privacy, etc. Settings to "Default" - Using IE 7.0.6.

It seems like about every 10ish minutes, if I let my AdminCP sit idle, if I click to do anything, it requires me to log in again.

I'm at a loss as to what this could be. Any suggestions?

The AdminCP login times out automatically after a certain amount of time, regardless of what you have set for the cookie timeout.

I realize that, I included it for informational purposes.

When you set the AdminCP time out option to "no" you are supposed to get 1 hour without being logged out.

I'm getting, maybe, 10 minutes.

I wanted to add:

Actually, I don't even get 10 minutes before it times me out of my AdminCP. It can be like 5 minutes. Sometimes, I edit a template, click save and have to log in again to complete the save. I've now tested this with both IE and Firefox and had my roommate test with 2 browsers on her PC too (she's got AdminCP access) and the results are the same.

Has anyone experienced this? any tips?

I would try reseting the cookie domain to the default. If you still have this problem after that, then something on your end is interfering with cookies.

But the problem still persists.

This happens on 7 different computers, using 3 different internet service providers and on 2 admin accounts. Tried using 2 browsers too.

My host is telling me the below are vbulletin issues. I periodically get these emails and was wondering if they could be somehow related to this issue:

That's a different situation. Assuming the db info in your config.php file is correct, this is a server issue. Please see this page for the causes of this error:

I assume the information in my config file is correct since my forums work and the only problem I have is an occasion mysql white-error message screen and my admincp times out constantly.

They increased the time-out value server side to 8600, but the problem still persists.

I'm going to export the database, have them move me to a new server and create a new database and upload the export and see if that makes a difference, since I am out of ideas short of deleting everything and starting over.
