You can create a custom bb code with your domain name hard coded into it, but users will have to know not to use the entire URL when using the custom bb code.

Something else to note is that you will not be able to restrict users from using your custom IMG tag in their signatures as can be done with the default vBulletin IMG tag.

Admin CP > Custom BB Codes > Add New BB Code >

Title: Insert Image from Albums (or whatever title you want)

BB Code Tag Name: albumimg (or whatever tag name you want)

    Replacement: <img src="http://www.example.com/forum/{param}">

    Example: [albumimg]album.php?albumid=1&pictureid=3[/albumimg]

Description: The [albumimg] tag allows you to embed images from your forum albums within your posts. You can also combine this tag with the [url] tag to make images become links.

    Use {option}: No

Button Image (optional): You can create an upload a little icon for the custom IMG tag to any folder you choose, but the other such icons are stored in: http://www.example.com/forum/images/editor/

There is no such feature in the software. You might find an addon for this on www.vbulletin.org. I recommend you search / ask over there.

Can you restrict IMG tags to forum domain?

Up until now, we have not allowed the [img] tag because we didn't want people hotlinking to other sites.

However, we would like to people to be able to link to their own album photos when posting in a thread.

Is there a way to only allow hotlinking to images on our own forum domain?

    Thanks,
    James
