I have a 3.5.1 installation in my web design portfolio, which no longer works due to my new host using PHP 5.4. To preserve the original board design and extensive customizations as much as possible, what's the minimum vBulletin version I can upgrade to? And are there any special considerations when doing so?

One more thing.... my host said I could also choose to use an earlier version of PHP for that particular site (by creating a subdomain and linking to it), which I wouldn't mind doing in the short term while I work on upgrading the templates and whatever else needs to be done.
With that in mind, I have searched all over the place -- here and via Google -- to determine the PHP version that works with 3.5.x, and couldn't find an answer. So, what is the answer? lol~ Life isn't always fair, but you can be. ~
