  • Update to 3.84 done and still it indicates 3.83

Very strange. One moment the admin area indicates the version is still 3.83 after the update to 3.84, then it reads 3.84 and then back to 3.83.

    What is the problem here?

You believe so or yes, you definitely pointed your browser to that page and clicked through all the Steps for the upgrade and finally got an Upgrade Completed message at the end?

I'm sorry, but someone else does the updates for me and I'll need to ask. But if they installed it "forum/install/upgrade.php" would that have caused the problem?

Which version shows in the upper right-hand corner of the page when you run: .../install/finalupgrade.php

                Hi Steve,

According to my tech support they updated the version from 3.8.3 to 3.8.4 using /install/upgrade.php and not the install.php.

                XML File Versions:

                vbulletin-style.xml 3.8.4
                vbulletin-settings.xml 3.8.4
                vbulletin-language.xml 3.8.4
                vbulletin-adminhelp.xml 3.8.4

                Best regards,
                Ernie

Then 3.8.4 should definitely show in the Admn CP if he reran finalupgrade.php with those versions.
