I want to know if there is a way to restrict a group of users from viewing certain individual posts within a topic that they can otherwise view. I'd like to be able to make a reply in an already existing topic, mark it accordingly, and then anyone that didn't have clearance to view it would instead just see a reply that said something like "you are not authorized to view this post" or something like that, while still allowing them to see the rest of the thread.

There is no way to do this in the software. Permissions are handled on the channel level. Not the topic level.Translations provided by Google.

Since the code is visual source and available to develop off of, someone may be able to do this. I don't know of any third-party products that do this or have done it in the past.Translations provided by Google.
