  • Unable to edit topic

    Vbulletin Cloud v 5.6.1

I am unable to edit a Topic, just wanted to correct someones error in the title and got the error

Name:	errormsg.JPG
Views:	78
Size:	16.3 KB
ID:	4441446

Clicking OK the message "Manage Content" and Loading... but never does, have to hit back in the browser to break out.

Might have been latest update as I'm sure editing Topics was fine before.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Does it work after pressing CTRL-F5 in your browser while viewing your site?

Just the one topic? Or all topics?

How are you editing the topic? Are you clicking on the "Edit" link under the first post or are you choosing Edit Topic from the Gear Icon at the top?

What happens if you copy the topic and create a duplicate? Can you edit the duplicate?

Hi Wayne, sorry not been able to get back to this with all that has been going on.

Its any topic that I try editing using the Gear Icon at the top of the topic. The one I was trying, was to correct the topic title this way. I've tried a couple more topics that have been posted recently and the same thing happens. I guess I was hoping the latest update would have sorted it out.

I haven't tried duplicating as its happening to any topic I choose to edit.

Same result using either Chrome or Firefox & site is now on 5.6.2

        Hello,

You have two customer accounts attached to this vBulletin Forum account. Is this your cloud site that you're having the issue on?

What happens if you clear your browser's cache?

What happens if you click the "Edit" link at the bottom of the post? This also allows you to change the title of the topic if it is a topic starter.

Does this only happen on your specific user or with all admins? I cannot recreate the issue on your vBulletin Cloud site using the ibadmin support user.

I'll have to change a few things to test with another admin user, at the moment I'm the only active admin user so will sort that out and check with another user with admin rights. Thanks for looking in Wayne.

Hi Wayne, just had a look as a different admin user and that user can edit the Topic Titles fine, so as you say - its just me! Any way it can be fixed?

What is the Admin's name? I can reset their permission. Maybe that will help. If not, then I'll have to get a developer on the issue.
