  • Expanding the input box for private messages

Is there a way to make the text input box bigger in private messages?

you only have a couple of lines visible at any time, having to rely on the scroll to see what you have written. As per image only the row of xxxxxxx can be seen.

it would be good to either make it bigger or have the option to drag it to expand the input area.

Should be able to drag it to a larger size using the handle on the bottom of the editor. If you cut and paste into the editor, it should automatically grow when you hit enter as well.

If you're using vBulletin Messenger, it has a reduced interface since it is meant for short messages. Use the Message Center for long messages.

Thanks Wayne. The drag handle you highlight doesn't work on messages. It works on posts but not on the message box..

I didn't even know there were two options of vBulletin Messenger AND message centre. I thought they took you to the same thing.

Just doing some testing and if you send a message to someone using the Message Centre, when they reply it opens in the vBulletin Messenger so any reply you do is back to the small input box!

Closing extra panels should give you more space. The vBulletin Messenger window is designed for mobile devices and space is limited.
