Redirect to https:// version of a vCloud site
There are still links out there and people have bookmarked the http:// version of our site. When we hosted the site we had a redirect. It seems the VCloud doesn't automatically redirect to the https:// when someone tries to load the http:// version.
How do we go about this? Thank you.Tags: None

If you have SSL enabled, are using a Custom Domain Name, and a proper CNAME Redirect on your Cloud Site, all incoming traffic will automatically be redirected to the HTTPS URL by the system. You will not be able to access the site via HTTP. If you are using a vBulletin.net URL without a sub-domain, then SSL will not work properly.
Can you provide examples of URLs that do not work?Translations provided by Google.

https://www.petgroomerforums.com does work and you see the padlock.
http://www.petgroomerforums.com does not redirect and goes to old host but of course that site of the old host, nameservers were changed back to Godaddy 48 hours ago. We configured the CNAME and as we said the https:// version does appear.
But please explain if there is more I need to do to "activate" SSL or configure. The board is not in a subdomain.

http://www.petgroomers.com redirects to https://www.petgroomerforums.com for me. You may need to flush your browser's DNS cache or wait for it to expire.
www is a sub-domain. vBulletin Cloud and cname redirects do not work with base domains. Your base domain is petgroomerforums.com. Anything before that is a sub-domain.Translations provided by Google.

by Amanda CI recently set up a SSL certificate for our forums site, however, I cannot figure out which .htaccess file to update since there seems to be one in every folder of our database. Please advise. After you install an SSL on your cPanel hosting account, you will need to update your .htaccess to direct all traffic through a secured port.
