  • Post-Migration Issues

    Hello,

I recently had my forum converted by you from vBulletin Connect to vBulletin Cloud. I am very grateful for the work that went into it and in general am very satisfied. However, some pesky issues remain and if anyone can assist with helping me fix them, it would be greatly appreciated.

My forum is currently located at https://935711d1457f-004803.vbulletin.net/ as I would like to fix the issues before pointing my DNS to use my custom URL.

1 - The font when using my main theme (Gradient) doesn't look like the default font, despite me not having made any customization.

    forum.vbulletin.com: https://i.imgur.com/rYkgYtM.png

2 - The Member Stats module displays vertically (using any theme): https://i.imgur.com/wcjWCrL.png

3 - When attempting to configure an ad module, I get the following error: https://i.imgur.com/WJ4B3cK.png

4 - I have remnants of third-party widgets in Site Builder that I can't remove. Three are in DragonByte and one is in Uncategorized: https://i.imgur.com/XDFPP5c.png

5 - When I go to Edit Site > Quick Setup > Style my styles appear as grey boxes, no preview is shown, and clicking on them does absolutely nothing: https://i.imgur.com/lKZR72T.png

6 - The same is true when going to Edit Site > Style: https://i.imgur.com/NOJwE7u.png

7 - Navigating to Edit Site > Pages returns the following error: https://i.imgur.com/Nu64zQT.png

Anyone ever experienced any of these issues before? Any advice?

You need to follow up in the Migration Ticket that you currently have so these issues can be handled.

Thanks Wayne. I did so but haven't received an answer yet, so I was hoping to solicit advice here if anyone had experienced any of these issues before.

The support ticket for it is ID 2309816. If you have access to it and have any ideas, please let me know, as I'd really like to fix these before pointing my domain to the Cloud site

Your issues appear to be due to the third-party addons you had on your site. These are not supported on vBulletin Cloud.

Thanks again for the quick replies Wayne. That was my assumption as well, but I was under the impression that all instances of third-party addons would be removed upon migration. Perhaps there are still some remnants that need to be sorted out?

Ahh, disregard, I just noticed you replied in the support ticket and have already sorted some of the issues out. Much appreciated!

I was under the same impression. The Cloud development team will have to sort out the removal of the remaining addons. I was able to remove most of them.

Right on, thanks again for your help.

I'm very curious about the Gradient font.. how were you able to fix it?

The Gradient style was missing a couple of template edits. I restored those edits.

Any chance you might be able to help with a certificate error? Now that I’ve created a CNAME value and pointed forum to my vBulletin.net domain, visiting forum.highonhockey.com returns an SSL error..

I mentioned it yesterday in my support ticket, but havent got a response yet. Searched through other posts here and I saw that in at least one case, you solved a customer’s issue by re-issuing the certificate for their site.

I've told the system to generate a new certificate.

I haven't had any traction in my support ticket (2309816) for over 2 weeks. Can someone please assist?

                            These are the remaining issues:

1 - The Member stats module displays vertically (using any theme): https://i.imgur.com/wcjWCrL.png

2 - I have remnants of third-party widgets in Site Builder that I can't remove. Three are in DragonByte and one is in Uncategorized: https://i.imgur.com/XDFPP5c.png

3 - When I go to Edit Site > Quick Setup > Style my styles appear as grey boxes, no preview is shown, and clicking on them does absolutely nothing: https://i.imgur.com/lKZR72T.png

4 - The same is true when going to Edit Site > Style: https://i.imgur.com/NOJwE7u.png

The latter two present important usability issues with the service I am currently paying for.. continued help would be very appreciated.
