  • channel management...how do I keep topics alphabetical?

Right now all new posts go to top. I want my channel to have its “topics” remain in alphabetical order for easier searching, even when someone posts new info.

So to clarify, I have a channel called layover ideas. Each city has its own topic. I want the cities to stay alphabetical even after someone posts new info.

Edit the Channel Display Module for that channel. Change the sort order to Title Ascending in the options.

To edit the module, go to the channel in question on the front-end. Click on "Edit Page" in the Site Builder Menu at the top. Then click on the Pencil Icon for the Channel Display Module.

That put my entire site in alphabetical order. I only want one channel that way.

        .
so for example, I would want only the blue skies channel in alphabetical order. Not all three.

Create a new template for that channel by editing the page and saving it. Set "Overwrite Template" to No. Add in a new Template Name. Save.

Then edit the module on that page and save it.

It took a while, but now I understand.
Unfortunately I have a subforum for every letter of the alphabet.... 1.5 hrs later they are all sorted alphabetically.
              Thanks!
