  • Ad Sense and the new update

Would there have been anything in the 5.3.4 update that would have stopped the ads from showing? I was going along fine and noticed that they are gone. i only set them to show for unregistered users and did double check the ad module settings

We've been upgraded and ours are working OK we also have ones for unregistered users.

Looked at your site and you are right, they are not showing.

Maybe you have some CSS that we don't?

Nothing in the upgrade should remove your code.

Is the code still present inside the ad modules themselves if you edit them?

Yes the code is still there

I did use add an ad module to the bottom of a few pages for a link to a website, but i tried removing it and it's the same.

            Thanks.

Try editing them and saving them. Also have a look at the new usergroup permissions settings within each module and check they are set correctly.

I have all kinds of special CSS and tried removing the last couple additions.

Try creating a new default style with no parent, and then switch to browsing the site with that.....this will rule out any custom css.

I just logged into your site, are the modules actually there? I can't see any on the front page.

Can you let me know where one is (or is supposed to be) so I can have a look?

I do notice you have html directly in the module titles, this isn't the ideal to way to style module titles...css and stylevars are the way to go. It's possible this may be impacting things but I can't be sure yet.

I found some in the header....they aren't allowing editing. Something is amiss there. May need to raise this with our Cloud Development team to find out what's wrong.

                          Mark thanks for looking

I have one in the header and another on the Links page. The links page is set for everyone to see the ads when viewing just that page, and the header was just for the unregistered.

I had that HTML in those titles to center the fonts long before this issue. I don't doubt it may not be the best way to do it, but it was easy for me.

Can you please try regenerating the ad code from Google and pasting that in (deleting the old code)?

I was able to go into the header module ad and make changes, not sure why you couldn't
