Technically it doesn't matter if it's Google or not. You are just reusing that option for a different purpose with the same end result - to add HTML tags in the head. It would have been ideal to have a more generic and separate option to add HTML tags in the head. But currently it doesn't have that's why we are utilizing that Google option.

Thanks - my only concern is this is not a google ads company so would I still setup this 3rd parties ad beacon in that section? Can I enter more than one tag in that area?

Utilize the Google Ownership Verification HTML tag option in AdminCP > Settings > Options > Search Engine Tools. The entered HTML tags there go to the head. You should also set the Enable Google Ownership Verification option to Yes.

    HTTPS and Ad Beacons

    Hi All,

I am working with an Ad company on my forum currently and since my site is secure (Https) I am being told that a majority of the ads won't show as a result of the "bidders" not being able to see who the audience is.

I have been requested to put an ad beacon into the "first line of code of your <head> section"

    Now I have 2 questions:

    1. How / where can I do this?
    2. If the answer to #1 involves editing / messing with the website code is there a better place to put it like in the CSS section? I tried dropping in an HTML box but that showed up on the page and didn't remain hidden out of sight.

This beacon is just to show the publishers the type of "traffic" I have on my site is what I am told.

Website/forum is camarov6.com and I am on the cloud setup

    Thanks
