    Cloud renewal failed

    Because we are in the U.K. we are several hours out of sync with the vBulletin office.

    During our nighttime we had a text from our bank wanting us to confirm a payment for our Cloud was genuine. Obviously we were asleep so didn’t confirm and the payment failed. We have now confirmed.

    vBulletin are trying again 24 hours later, again this will be the middle of the night for us. I hope the payment goes through ok as we don’t want to lose our forum 😬

    How many times will they try? Will we get fair warning before our site is deleted? Is there a way to pay in advance, rather than only automatically on the due date?

      Glad it’s worked now.

      Worth noting, even in the extreme scenario of any action being taken, the site is initially suspended rather than deleted.

      Information for people searching this:

      We try three times before the site goes into a pending cancellation status. At cancellation, the site is archived as a database backup and maintained on the server. From what I have seen, this is indefinitely.

      If the payment fails because of confirmation, a cloud customer should be able pre-approve the purchase through their financial institution. Could be clicking a link in the institution's app or replying to a text. Though this does depend on the institution. Basically it is just white listing the vendor (vBulletin Cloud).
