  • Managed and Unmanaged

What is the differences between the hosting company managing my dedicated server than to me managing it. What else would I have to do?

A managed server usually means remote hands, a better hardware / replacement sla, kernel updates, security patches, monitoring for breach of security / attacks, etc. Basically, the host becomes more responsible for your server if it is managed. If it is not managed you are responsible to maintain it, apply patches / updates, monitor it, etc.

I would go with managed. Must easier on you...and go with Servermatrix.
