UK Web Hosts

Does anyone know of any good Web Hosts in the UK?
This is the deal I currently have, so something similar... or better would be fine.

• Cost - $19.95
• Storage Space - 650Mb
• Bandwidth - 20gb
• Email Accounts - 200
• FTP Accounts - 100

I don't mind paying more as long as it is quick and relieable.

I'm not sure if they have plans to suit but I use the host KDA Web Services - http://kdawebservices.com for one of my sites. Service and network are both great - they come highly recommended.

If the plans don't suit try emailing them and see if they can come up with something for you.

I recommend KDA Web Services as well. Great service and support. Karl is a good guy. Another choice is http://www.ultraspeed.co.uk, though I don't have any experience with them besides talking to Jordan (who's also a nice guy).

i have my vB forum on a dedicated server with ultraspeed and it's great - a p3 733, 256mb, 9gb scsi server which is handling my vB forum very well

The support is not very good and about "under 250" people share the server I am on... a P500, 256mb mem, RedHat Linux, SCSI drives on RAID 1 array.

and even at 11pm last night both Karl and Dean were online to answer my questions, they were very helpfull and offered me a good deal.

Interserver's prices have gone up as well, it is now $29.95 for the plan I have.

Interservers prices have been that for the last 6 months...... the rise was ages ago, and more space, bandwidth etc appeared as a result.

There might be more space and bandwidth, but the support and amount of people that share the servers is still not very good.
I would rather pay that little bit more and share a better server with only 100 people, than stay on the server I am currently on with about 250.

I have also had quite a bit of downtime with them, and I feel when vb2 comes out and I have got a bit of spare time, I might actually get a site up and running, so that is why I am looking for a new host

I know it sort of defeats the purpose, but I've found that because of the prices here in the UK, you may as well host in the stes, especially with those bandwidth requirements. Bandwidth is quite rubbish here, they useally offer about 3GB or 5GB.

I'm with Site5 (www.site5.com) and they're really good. Will meet your requirements to a tee!
