•, Too good to be true?

most of the time when you see something that seems to good to be true, it probably is.

for only 7.77 /month seems way too good?

only thing i can see is a $10 sql activivation fee

"but this is so blatantly an orchestrated ad campaign. Give me a break - four new users, all posting obviously scripted messages (except maybe the second post)? Even the original question reads like an ad!"

looked the same way to me

My suggestion, dont use powweb if your gona do anything php wise.

Maybe its different on their other machines, but my machine has the CGI version of PHP installed which is a total pain in the arse. My school hosts and last year when I took website design, I had to revert back to HTML due to the CGI php hassel.

If your using php, be sure to ask for a non CGI php server. But other than that, their services are pretty good. I've never had any troubles what so ever.

PowWeb sticks you with at least 3 moths service, with a $20 activation fee which totals $43.31. If you go for the one year plan, it's nearly $100. If you go for two years, nearly $200. Not to mention another $15 for your DNS.

I'm sticking with my $2.50 renewable cost from Oktagone.
