  • I need help

Hey guys, I'm thinking of opening up a new site but I'd like some advice first. The only thing I'm going to have on the site is a vbulletin forum but I'm not sure which hosting plan is right for me. To start off, I know that I'll have somewhere between 75 and 100 active members and that number will probably grow with time. I'm looking at a plan which would give me 99MB of storage and 20GB of bandwidth. Do you think that this would be sufficient? I would greatly appreciate anyone's help. Thanks!

Not sure where you have checked but you might want to look at
    http://www.tera-byte.com
they offer ALOT of bandwidth on their hosting plans and also you are able to move to a dedicated server if you outgrow your current account.
    Good Luck!!

Thanks Martie. Actually, the plan I'm considering is at tera-byte. It is relatively cheap but I'm just wondering if thats enough bandwidth. I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to running internet sites and I don't know if 20 GB/month is enough bandwidth to run a forum. I don't have any experience with vbulletin software and I'm hoping some of you guys that do can help me out.

Thanks, but I'm not really looking for suggesstions for a host. I'm looking for someone who can tell me how much bandwidth is needed to run a forum. Someone out there has got to know.

My site gets between 10-15,000 pageviews a day (about half of that is vBulletin), and I hover right around 10 gigs a month.

Thank you, Lorina, thats more of what I was looking for. I think 20 GBs a month should be plenty for me.

Yes, I am sure you would be able to upgrade at tera-byte, if you needed to.
They offer alot of bandwidth transfer as it is.
I have on occasion referred people there that I knew we couldnt handle and we offer a hefty amount with our plans!
                Good Luck!
