  • OSX server?

Server loads/costs have become a big problem. I am considering moving my server in house.

Does anyone here have OSX server experience? I don't think that I could get a more powerful machine than a dual processor Mac. Do they run PHP and MySQL with the same efficiency as a Linux server?

    Any insights would be helpful.

BTW XP sucks and I'm sick of being a Microsoft clone!

We serve up our SHN downloads from a Mac OSX server and its crashed 4 times in the last day. Right now we are waiting for the admin to get into his office to reboot the beast. We have a feeling it has to do w/ child processes spawned by apache - either way, we're going to reduce the number of them. Hopefully keep this thing on its feet for longer than an hour. Damn mac
