  • Leaving Old Host... Help?

    Hey vB!

I recently found out that running a shared plan on HostGator, while promoting a huge amount of forum activity is a really bad idea.
Basically, the shared plan is too slow/limited for our needs as a growing community, and I'd like your help on deciding a new host.

Before I get started, I have read the stickied threads, but found that the posts were so old I was scared to trust their relevancy.

So, here is what I need (minimum), and my restrictions:

    - ~10GB of storage or more
    - 10+ SQL databases
    - Unlimited domains/subdomains/emails etc
    - php.ini editing enabled
    - Everything required to run vb4 & vb5 (not at same time)
    - Fast for vBulletin forums with ~100 concurrent users.
    - Pricing a MAX of $80/month USD
    - Server located in USA (preferably eastern coast)

Thank you for your help, and if you need more info please don't hesitate to ask.

To get vB support on these forums you first need to be a licensed customer and register for Priority Forum Support. To do this, please go here: https://members.vbulletin.com/member...t_priority.php ...and enter your email address in one of the boxes. You will also have to select the specific forums that you wish to have access at. You'll need to have your customer number and password to access the page. Once you've done this, please post in the appropriate support forum for your version.
